ABOUT AIHA
The All India Hardware Association (AIHA) is an apex body for the Hardware Industry in India. With elite organizations among manufacturers, wholesalers, importers, retailers, and distributors from all zones in the country, AIHA boasts of holistic industry representation. It is the single largest platform for the Builders, Architectural Hardware, and Furniture Fixtures industry to convene under one roof and have a meaningful exchange of thought and dialogue.
Through the 2 decades of operations, AIHA has been instrumental in launching initiatives that have organized and solidified the country while ensuring the collective betterment of all its members. It has earned the reputation of being an unbiased platform that serves the interest of all members with a neutral approach.
OBJECTIVE
A single-pointed vision of enhancing the Builders, Architectural Hardware, and Furniture Fixtures industry in India to match international standards.
KEY INITIATIVES BY AIHA
- AIHA has represented the industry at various government bodies to petition for being recognised as a separate, organised sector as this industry was earlier clubbed with the general hardware and pipe fitting industry
- AIHA has raised concerns on taxation policies asking for clarifications on the HSN code for different tax slabs on the same products due to various reasons under the new GST implementation
- AIHA has created strong bonds with Trade Exhibition organisers, negotiating competitive prices to ensure that even the smallest / newest AIHA member can participate in crucial industry exhibitions to display their product offerings
- AIHA has spearheaded the creation of marketing collaterals like souvenirs, web portals, and apps to promote inter-industry connectedness as well as the ability to reach out to potential customers
- AIHA has initiated multiple meetings and seminars within the country and abroad to facilitate stronger connections among industry peers
- AIHA has organised various medical camps and mobilised fund-raising to fulfil its responsibility toward society
- AIHA has arranged various celebrations on occasions like Diwali, Iftar, Christmas etc to include families of its members and create inclusive environments
NEXT STEPS
As AIHA grows in its member strength to represent more and diverse businesses in the industry, it has a two-fold agenda to move forward:
- It aims to launch a zonal organizational structure to decentralise execution while all strategy remains focused at the central apex level.
- It aims to create more verticals so customised interventions can be planned for each business represented at AIHA.
